Fall 2028 Women's Croning Fast

CRONING FAST OVERVIEW

A Croning Ritual is a contemporary rite of passage that honors a woman's transition into her years of elderhood, wisdom, and personal sovereignty. Rooted in modern Pagan, Goddess spirituality, and women's wisdom traditions, croning ceremonies emerged as a way to reclaim and celebrate the role of the elder woman—an honored status that many cultures historically associated with leadership, healing, guidance, and deep life experience. Rather than viewing aging as decline, the croning tradition recognizes it as a profound evolution into one's fullest expression of wisdom and purpose. The principles associated with a female elder rite of passage are combined with the framework of the Four Shields of Human Nature to provide a profound experience of contemplation, ceremony, and self-discovery.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE

We are currently in the process of scouting a location in New Hampshire for a Fall 2028 Croning Fast. We welcome any recommendations for private or public land that is confidential and suitable for a group of 10.

LETTER OF INTENT PREPARATION

This adaptation of the croning tradition invites women into the woods, creating sacred space away from daily responsibilities and distractions. Immersed in nature, participants will be invited to:

  • Reflect on the story of their lives and the lessons they have gathered.

  • Honor both their triumphs and their hardships.

  • Release outdated identities, expectations, and roles.

  • Deepen their connection with nature and the cycles of life.

  • Listen for the wisdom that emerges in silence and solitude.

  • Clarify their intentions for the years ahead.

  • Step consciously into elderhood, leadership, and personal authority.
